"Invalid product key" -- I NEED HELP !!!!!!!!!!

Hello,
I have had to recently reinstalled WindowsXP on my Dell Dimension 8200.
Microsoft WorksSuite was already installed at Dell and now that I have
reinstalled XP it will not allow me to install Word 2001. I get an invalid
product key when actually I am putting the CORRECT product key that is
pasted to the side of my pc. All other programs with WorkSuite seem to be
running okay, that is, I don't receive a request for a product key. Has
anybody had this problem before? Can someone help me, please? Thank you in

Well, first of all, you don't have Word 2001; that is a Mac version. Second,
the product key pasted on the side of your computer is for Windows. Since
you mention Works Suite, the product key you need for Word (2000? 2002?) is
the product key for Works Suite, which will be on the CD jewel case (retail)
or Certificate of Authenticity (OEM).
