Invalid Signature

I'm sitting at a user's machine and trying to add it to the domain after
renaming it. I don't have permissions to rename machines on the domain, so i
have to first put it in a workgroup, change the name, and re-add it. When i
try to re-add it i am getting an invalid signature error message. Any ideas?
