invalid value for the field

I have series of linked tables, which work fine as tables but now that I have brought them all together on one main form with several sub-forms I get the above error message as soon as the form opens and when trying to move to any other record. This occurs regardless of which field the cursor appears to be on so I don't know which field it is referring to. I've checked all field types and they are set fine for their data type

Any ideas?

No magic bullets that I know of ... consider making a backup and then
eliminating one sub-form at a time until it works.
