IP 2007 can't upgrade form with Code to SharePoint 2007

Under Form Options I have set "Automatically Upgrade". Also have that
checked on the SharePoint "Upload Form Template" page. When I try to update
an IP form I get this message even though I changed the version number of the
assmebly:

The assembly Expense Sample.dll from form template Expense
Report.xsn(urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:infopath:Expense-Report:-myXSD-2005-10-21T21-12-27)
conflicts with a same named assembly in an older version of this form.
Upgrade the version of the assembly in the newer version of the form template
and try again.

Any advice appreciated. As it stands now I have to delete the IP form as a
content type, deactivate the form, remove the form from SharePoint, then
re-upload #@$%@#$%#
