I'm trying to set up SBS with a SOHO account, static IP Address, using a
router for DHCP, and I'm having problems understanding why I can't configure
my client/server network using the static IP address scheme. My server
machine has only one NIC, and I don't want the server to be a DHCP server. I
want the router to do that. How do I configure the router and my server to
make this happen with static IP addressing? I understand that the static IP
address is for external internet connection and that dynamic IP addressing is
for my LAN, but I'm not clear on how to configure the server & the router to
achieve this LAN system to work properly. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
