IP telephony from Outlook?

Hi Group,

I have a ADSL connection on which I have installed a Grandstream 286, which
enables me to use my ordinary PSTN phone for IP telephony!

I work a lot from home, and would therefor prefer if I could dial the
numbers in my Outlook dirrect from my computer and - somehow - transfer them
to my ordinary telephone and continue the call from there.

Alternatively, If I could have softphone on my computer and use that for
outgoing calls and then the ordinary phone for incomming calls.

Does any one out there in "usenet land" know if this is possible, and if so,
how?

Yours sincerely
Lars

I now have broadband connection via a cable modem. For many years I
had a phone connection to the internet and thus I have a modem in my
machine and I could and can use Outlook to dial the attached standard
phone. Is this perhaps the way to go since phone modems are quite
cheap?
