ipf fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bff7b9f6

Hi, what would cause the following intermittent error in a
particular worksheet of Excel 97:
EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL
at 017f:bff7b9f6.
Registers:
EAX=7fc39e61 CS=017f....
I can't find any circular references in the cells...other
worksheets which are nearly identical do not produce this
IPF.
