Does the new 3G iPhone sync with Entourage?

Does the new 3G iPhone sync with Entourage?

Nothing in Entourage syncs directly with iPhone.

Mail can by synced by using an IMAP account that both Entourage and
iPhone have configured.

Calendar items and contacts can be synced to the Truth database by
enabling Sync Service in Entourage menu --> Preferences... --> General
Preferences --> Sync Services. The Truth syncs to Address Book, iCal,
iPhone, etc.

Hope this helps!

What are you trying to sync?

You can sync calendar entries and contacts, but not directly. You have to go through a Mobile Me (.Mac) account. To do this, you first enable Sync Services in Entourage, That synchronizes with a Apple database that is behind iCal and Address Book. Then you set up syncing with you Mac and your Mobile Me account. Finally, configure your iPhone to use you Mobile Me.

THere are limitations that result from the bucket-brigade series of syncs. And attributes that are not supported by iCal or Address Book are not passed through. THere are also time delays - 5 to 10 minutes in my experience.

So POP email accounts are not supported? My issue is how to sync my email
messages. Any additional workarounds for that?
Thanks!

You're trying to get POP to do something it wasn't designed for. POP is
designed to download email to a single device and keep it there. Now you're
welcome to configure both Entourage /and/ the iPhone to "leave email on the
server," but this may cause other problems down the line and is not a
"sync."

What you want is IMAP, which keeps your email in a server in a fashion that
can be easily synced across devices. Find out if your provider offers it.

I have gotten entourage to sync with everything wirelessly (to ical then to
mobile me) but for the 3rd time the majority of my calendar entries in
entourage are doubled, tripled and in some cases quadrupled. So of course it
is like that in ical and on my iphone. the first two times i went into the
apple store and they seemed to have fixed it. but now it happened again.
after being on the phone with apple support, they said it may be an entourage
problem and they can't help me anymore. any suggestions?

Last I read about it, it was an Exchange 2007 problem. Is your Exchange
server perfectly up to date?? Ask the Exchange administrator.
