iPhoto Thumbnail Delete Experience

I use iPhoto.

I choose to go to full screen while looking at photos.

I go up to the top of the display and thumbnails are displayed.

I delete a photo from the thumbnails.

Rather than staying in place where I left off/deleted from, the
thumbnail viewer starts at the very beginning of the list again.

Anyone know how to keep my place with thumbnails when deleting? Thanks
in advance.
