ipm.activity

I would like to make some changes to the default ipm.activity form but when I
choose design form i cannot modify anything on the General page. Is there a
way to do this? Also I would like to have some of the fields be dropdown
lists of data found in the contacts folder. I'm having a very hard time
finding any information on how to make these changes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
