Is background shading possible in Visio?

I want to refer viewers to particular areas of a Process Map, by shading that
area background in different colours

Hi DL,

Do you mean the bands in a swimlane or cross-functional flowchart? It's not
clear to me exactly what you wish to to.

Thanks Chris for taking an interest - I'm sorry for not being clear, but I've
resolved it myself. I wanted to highlight a change made in part of a
process, that affected group of related activities between cross functional
areas, in part of an end to end process. I simply positioned a box over the
area, filled it with colour and using the "Order" function in Shapes I "sent
it back" thus leaving everything else visible - such a simple action but
being a novice I couldn't track it down in Help or Tutorials
