Is Business Contact Manager compatible with Exchange Server 2003?

I created a separate profile for BCM according to
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HP011030851033.aspx, however I
keep getting the message that it deletes the BCM database because it is not
compatible with the version of Exchange that we are running (2003).

a.. You must first install Business Contact Manager Service Pack 1 before
proceeding with any other steps.
a.. placeholder regarding host company
a.. Hosted Exchange can be done with any Exchange Server 2003. It does not
require an SBS 2003 server.
a.. If the host company is not using Microsoft Provisioning Server, the
Registry key will need to be manually configured on all clients connecting
to the host server.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\hostedexchange20] (just the key needs
to exist--no value needs to be set)
a.. Connection method to the Exchange Server 2003 does not matter. For
instance, RPC over HTTP is a supported configuration.

BCM version 1 only works with SBS2003. (Version 2 will work with all
