Is Cover Page a web content feature?

I know that Web content features, such as clip art, templates, online
training, online assistance and Appshelp are features that rely on the
Microsoft Web site to retrieve related content. The content that is retrieved
is therefore dynamic and could disappear altogether or change significantly.
Does anyone know if Insert, Cover Page, is retrieving content from the Web or
is this content static and predictable? Thanks in advance.

I think your interpretation is somewhat flawed. Yes, you can get training,
assistance, and Help online, but any clip art that you choose to download is
stored on your own computer, as are templates. Insert | Cover Page is
inserting content that is built into the program unless you have downloaded
a template that includes a Cover Page building block, in which case it is
part of the downloaded template.

Thanks--that definitely answers my question on the Cover Page. It will be
there always for Word 2007. However, if MS removes a given template from
their Web site, I cannot depend download it at that point, correct? So when I
browse through templates, unless I use one, it really isn't stored on my
computer, correct? Or once you browse them, are they in building blocks?

BTW: Lately the links that come in e-mail to read these responses don't
work. I always log-in manually. Can't figure out why.

I have little experience with the online templates, but if you click the
Download button, I think what you get is not even really a template but
usually a document. You can, however, save that document *as a template* in
your Trusted Templates folder, and it will then always be available. To do
this, when you have the "template" open, use Office Button | Save As | Word
Template and choose the Trusted Templates folder in the Places Bar.
