is frontpage free to download now

i have office 2000 + frontpage cd - i had to reinstall xp and now i can`t
reinstall office 2000 + frontpage as when i try it keeps throwing up errors -
i only want frontpage and i was told it was now free to download but i can`t
find it - does someone know please an url i can download it from

There has never been any legal versions of FrontPage available as a download
that I am aware of. Try searching the Internet for the errors that you are
seeing to see if you can fix your current version.

Someone may have been thinking of FrontPage Express, which was a
stripped-down version of either FP 97 or 98 and basically wasn't worth it at
all. It has not been available for a long, long time. There is no other
version of FP that was ever made freely available. It could also be the
person believed that since FrontPage has been replaced by Expression Web,
that means it can be downloaded for free, which is most definitely not the
case.
