Hello ,

Is any way to run or develop the .net application ( which contains Visio
ActiveX drawing control) in a system where there is no Visio installed. I
read from MSDN that it is not possible. If anybody have any latest
information regarding this, please reply.

Thanks,

BV

The Visio ActiveX control is the entire Visio application wrapped with an
ActiveX interface, so you definitely need Visio installed on the system.

As per MSDN and also the Microsoft rep who answered earlier,
the answer is unfortunately No - every individual running your
application will need his / her own Visio license and installation
( expensive and a nuisance )

ALTERNATIVE
There are alternatives to Visio.
As this is a Visio forum I've been told that they
(Microsoft) don't like references to other products
here even to answer a posted questions with a valid solution,
so if you are looking for an Alternative that does
not require end-user license fees drop me a note by
e-mail. ( I tried to reply to you directly by
e-mail myself but got a bounce back on (e-mail address removed) ).
