Let me say that I do not know if I am misusing terminology. I really don't
know if these are 'real' main forms. In my database I have
Attendees (as a main form I think since it is the 1st form I enter on)
then on that form there are "links" to Registration Form, Payments Form,
Preview Invoice,
Registration (I was thinking this was still a main form but obviously it
is
not < ths was my original table A in my first example>)
I guess from either the Attendees form or the Registration form I need to
have a linked form called Lineup.
From the sound of it, this is not what we would call a subform. It's just
another form that is opened from one of the existing forms. It may be
related to the record that is current on the "calling" form, or it may be
entirely independent of that record, depending on how you set it up.
You can add a command button to one form to open another form. Normally, if
you don't have control wizards switched off, Access will help you do this --
just go into design view, choose the command button tool and then click the
location on the form where you want to add the button. The wizard will then
offer you some choices for what you want the button to do, and guide you
through the steps to set up the button to do it. Have you tried this
procedure yet?
