Is it possible to add another notebook?

Yes. A notebook is merely a folder. To access notes in another folder, right
click the section tabs and select Open Folder. Navigate to the folder that
holds your other notes (or where you want to put your other notes). Click
Open. The new folder will now show on as a tab. When you click it, you will
go to notes in that folder. If there aren't any sections in that folder, you
will need to add them. Once you've done that - proceed as you would in "My
Notebook"

No. OneNote uses only one single "My Notebook" folder, but judicious use
of folders (which can contain multiple sections, etc.) can let you organize
your notes in a way that lets you separate your notes as if you had
multiple Notebooks.

You have already had a "Yes" answer and a "No" answer. And each
contains (part of the) truth. Kathy is right to say that a notebook is
only a folder. And Erik is right to say you can only have one notebook
(at least if he means that you can only have one "My Notebook").

Can you explain a little more about what it is that you want to do?

One reason I ask that is that if you create a new folder which isn't
nested inside the default My Notebook then you won't be able to access
the contents using the navigation facility towards the top left of
OneNote without also changing the location of the "My Notebook" path
in the OneNote options. That can be done by accessing Tools | Options
| Open and Save, highlight "My Notebook" then click the Modify button
and choose whichever folder you wish.

You can do that but on the whole it generally seems easier and more
sensible (to me at least) to simply create a new folder inside the
existing My Notebook folder. Then you can navigate around it fairly
easily using the navigation tool.

So, you can have ... as far as I am aware ... only one "My Notebook"
at a time. You could, if it was really necessary, switch between
alternate locations for "My Notebook" using the Tools | Options
process I described earlier. But that, for most purposes, is likely to
be overkill and a time waster. More simply just create a new folder
inside the default My Notebook will do all you need.

If you have complex needs then if you specify those we may be able to
give you more specific suggestions.
