Is it possible to change a jpeg picture into a html web page

Basically I have the jpeg picture that I want to convert into the home
page for my web site is this possible using some clever tools like
macromedia etc??
Any help or advise would be appreciated.

It all depends on what you want to do with your home page. If it's a single
image that you are going to add text links, then Dreameaver will work.
Dreamweaver can also have hot spots which you can link certain parts of your
image to different web pages. For example, if the image is a montage (or
collage) and you want one part to link to a "contact us" web page, then you
can draw around one part of the image and make a link. (Please note that
this is a very basic way of doing this if you haven't got a graphics program
like Adobe ImageReady).

It would be advisable to convert your .jpg picture to web resolution (72dpi)
before using on a home page. This will make the image load a lot quicker.
You will need a graphics program for that.
