Is it possible to change form tab control formatting?

I want to change the font, text size and background colour
of a multiple-page tab control, and can't find anywhere to
do this. Right now the point size of the font looks to be
Arial 8 point on a light gray background. It doesn't make
sense that you can change the size of fonts, for example,
to make your pages more legible, and then have to deal
with tiny type on your tab controls!

Any sugestions - or confirmation that it isn't possible
will be appreciated.

The setting is for the entire control, not individual pages. You can
choose a font and size, but not colors.
