Is it possible to change the colors in a clip art drawing?

You can do it in a graphics application.

Or in the case of clip art (WMF images), do the following:

1) Double clip the image... and change the LAYOUT to square.
2) Right click on the image... and click on GROUPING.. then UNGROUP.
3) Depending upon how the image was originally created... you may need to
ungroup more than once.
4) Once you have ungrouped all of the components of the image, you may
click on individual components and using either the FILL or LINE COLOR
button -- you can recolor them.

This works with Word 2000 and earlier. 2003 uses a PNG file format which
doesn't respond the same way.

Word 2003 and 2007 has the same function to ungroup and re-color. It is just the
approach that is different.
