Is it possible to change the PPT->HTML template?

Can the PPT->HTML converter (save as web page) code be altered? I've got a
bunch of slideshows that have to be saved as web pages for portability. The
problem is that the "Slide Show" button doesn't work thanks to the modern
crop of popup blockers.

To work around, I have to hand edit the outline.htm file for each slideshow
every time it's saved and convert the javascript slide show launch mechanism
to something that the popup blockers recognize as being "caused" by a
mouse-click; i.e., a user action. That lets the slideshow window popup as
desired.

I'd like to write this change back into whatever template the convertor is
using so that I don't have to do it myself every time. Any known ways to do
that?

Well, Scott...let's analize something. PPoint is not a web designing
software, it just offers the convenience of HTML conversion. As a matter of
fact, the code is so peculiar that can only be recognized and interpreted by
one browser, IExplorer.

What I mean is that this resource should only be employed when you must
convert previously designed presentations, in order not to redo the whole
thing. As a matter of fact, if you need HTML as a format, I'd suggest to
start designing your future presentations in HTML right from the beginning;
this would offer not only the file weight advantages, but also the looks,
coding and interactive benefits of this format. This is something that is
not too difficult to learn and accomplish with the use of today's WYSIWYG
editors. Also, another benefit you'd get is the capacity to package them for
protection in a compiled .exe. in e-book fashion and of course, make them
cross-browser compatible for internet.

We have advised many visitors of this newsgroup regarding HTML tags in each
converted presentation not producing the originally desired effects. But
then, I still think that by re-editing code they wind up doing the work
twice.

Let me know if I can offer additional help.

Greetings,

Gus
