Is it possible to convert links to embedded

I work and email large documents for editing. I need to insert pictures as
links but convert them to embedded once the editing/revision of the document
is completed. I noticed in a previous discussion Bob Jones advised this
action but I do not know how to "update and break the links". Would this
then mean my pictures are embedded and I would no longer require the picture
source file to be available. I could have up to 60 or more photos in my
documents.

Use Ctrl+A to select everything in the document and then Ctrl+Shift+F9 to
unlink the fields from their source.
