Is it possible to create a catalogand be able to go back and edit the text?

Ok I know about the autoflow in publisher, and I have made a product catalog
that is 30 pages long and I was wondering if there is a way to go back into
my document at later date and be able to add products or text to my document
and have it automatically move the text to a new page or box if it goes past
the current page.

I have run into the problem of when I create a autoflow link I can not just
throw new text into a previous box and have to shift the text after what I
inserted. Basically I need to tbe able to insert new product text and have it
automatially shift the information.

I am so confused and lost someone please help me out. I would be very
grateful.

Did you use the catalog merge?

In step 5 you can convert the merge to a publication, you can edit the
conversion. If the text box has overflow, create a new text box and link.

Thank you for your quick response, but what would I do if I could not insert
a new blank text box to make it autoflow. I was hoping to be able to go back
and add text if it happened to over flow it would automatically go to the
next page (which already has text on it) and shift all text on the pages
after my insert. I do not know what else to try? What is this catalog merge
you speak of? Thank you so much for all your help.

I guess I should asked what version Publisher you are using. The catalog merge
is new to 2003.

Your text will automatically flow to the next page if you have linked text
boxes. Create an empty text box in the scratch area. From your original text
box, click the link icon (looks like a chain link). The cursor will turn into a
bucket, click the new text box. This is how you get text to flow from page to
page.

There is a lot of help on the Office site, mostly for 2003 but text placement
hasn't changed much over the years.

Thank you again, but I feel so stupid, when I said catalog I didnt realise
most people have databases and "organization" well with my catalog I typed in
my product information on each page, it isnt in a database or anything so I
dont know how I would merge it if I just wanted to type more text and have it
auto format I dont know if it possible. I am so sorry I have been confusing
and thank you very much for your help.
