Is it possible to deploy a dutch office 2003 version to English Windows 2000 pro systems (with group

Jo Harding

Hi,

We have 2 versions of Office 2003 here at work. A dutch version and an
English version. Since the English version doesn't come with a Dutch
dictionairy and we don't have any proofing tools, i'd like to install
the Dutch version. I tried to deploy through group policy but it
doesn't work. Then I tried deploying the English version and it worked
without a problem.

Could it be that the dutch office requires a dutch OS to be deployed
properly? Is there any way to work around this problem? (i know that
there is a 'ignore language when deploying...' checkbox but it didn't
work)

any comments are welcome

Kind regards,
Jo Harding

It should work without issues. Did you deploy to a clean install (no Office
installed on the machine yet)?

Make sure that the permissions are properly set; the machine needs to be
able to read the policy and requires access to the administrative instllaion
point.
