Is it possible to make a task from a calender item?

I have an all day event in my calender and I want to assign a task as a reminder to act on this all day event before it happens.

Is this possible to do without linking the calender event to a contact?

Contacts have nothing to do with your request (unless you really did a bad
job of explaining what you want to do)

It sounds like you may want to make a Task. Make one. Do you want the Task
to relate to the Event in some way?

If all you want is a reminder say 2 weeks before the event, open the event
and set the reminder for 2 weeks.

You can also drag the Event to the Tasks folder to make a Task. try that and
see if it's what you want to do.

Hi Judy,

I think I did a bad job of explaining yeah.

I want a task to relate to an event or an event to relate to a task. Or even better, an event and task to link to each other so that I can have multiple tasks linking to all day events.

Is this possible?

Yes. Bad job!

Nuh. I don't think so.

You could use a Category for that client's job and Categorise Tasks, Events,
Emails etc

Then maybe you could use search folders to show all items of that Category.
