Is it possible to move a Digital Certificate to another PC?

I am using the SelfCert program to create a code signing
Digital Certificate. I need to be able to use this
certificate on 2 PCs. Is there anyway to copy this so it
will work on both PCs? I tried exporting and importing,
but when I try to save the file on the other PC, I get a
message that the signature is invalid and is being
discarded.

Hi Derek,

A certificate generated via the Self-Cert is unique to a machine and is not
transportable. You will need to generate another one on the second computer.
As an aside, if you are using Office 2002 (XP), self-cert generated digital
certificates cannot be "trusted" on other computers.
