Is it possible to open a .dotx in Word 2003?

We have downloaded the compatibility and we can open normal docs created in
Word 2007 but not a template. I've created a form for work but some are not
on Word 2007 and when I attempt to save it as a .dot it states that all
fields will be changed to static text and I'll lose the drop down lists, etc.

Hello Mark,

You've landed in a discussion group for users of Mac versions of Word. Mac
versions differ variously from PC versions. Although several people here use
both PCs and Macs and may give you an answer soon, it seems to me that your
specific problem will receive attention from more volunteers than here at
