Is it possible to open a word 2003 document using office 95?

Given that the developers of Word95 were writing their code a decade before
Word2003 came out, isn't that a bit much to expect?

No.

Microsoft programs do not translate backwards. That is if you have 2000 on
your computer you cannot open anything from 2002 forward. But is you have
2003 on your computer you can open anything that is earlier. Sorry.

Sometimes you can save a document in a different year format. I do not know
if this can be done without opening the doc.
