Is it possible to reset the last used cell

In Excel 2000 control + end will go to the last cell in the worksheet.
However in on sheet this is somehow set at row 1029 and column EE so
something.

It should be row 250 column G

Is it possible to reset the position to which control + end jumps to.
If so I cannot find how to do it

IS Excel XP any different as we are upgrading soon.
