Is it possible to upgrade 2003 standard visio to 2003 visio pro?

I recently bought 2003 standard Visio and now I realize that I need the
professional version for database work. Can I simply get the upgrade(approx
$250) to 2003 visio professional or do I have to buy the entire 2003 visio
professional package (approx $450)?

Do you mean you don't know that or that it truly can't be upgraded from
standard to professional?

I would think an authorized reseller would be able to answer this question

I don't like to speak for MS, but the feature (upgrade v2003 standard to
v2003 professional) has been discussed here and the answer was 'no' the
last time I saw a thread on it.
