Is it possible to use MS Outlook with AOL?

AOL is my ISP. Am unable to figure out how to use Outlook e-mail with AOL.
Is it possible?
Since installing Outlook, it is popping up as the default e-mail program.
Although have tried to make it work with AOL (w/o sucess) and have tried to
make it not be the default program (w/o sucess).
Is there a way to make this work?
What I was trying to do was to attach pictures to an e-mail. In the past I
was able to choose the ones I wanted and then click on "e-mail selected
pictures" and AOL e-mail would open up. Now Outlook opens up with my
attachments but no way to send them as the Send/Receive is not listed under
Tools or anywhere else I looked.

Control Panel - Internet Options - Programs, change E-Mail to whatever AOL
adds to the list to switch your email default to AOL.
