Hello,
I heard rumor to the effect that Entourage won't be available in Office 2010 for Mac. Is this true? I also did hear that there was something going on with Word. Is this true or is it a rumor?

Nahhhh, the name will change that's all.
The MacBU is rebuiding the whole thing in Cocoa. It will have a stronger
base, a faster, more efficient and Spotlight/Time Machine compatible
database.

Some improvements for Exchange as well apparently, but if you don;t use
that, it's OK. POP and IMAP support will still be there.

Will Entourage's appearance change to Outlook or will it also remain the same?

Anything this specific would be a wild guess at this time. I doubt it's set
in stone this early anyway. We can hope the purple goes away to something
more suitable.

I got so frustrated with the glitches in Entourage I finally switched
to Apple Mail and, while it works acceptably, there are some features
in Entourage that I miss. I hope whatever comes out in 2010 is
significantly improved. And BTW, I happen to like the purple! :)

I use it now for POP mail and it seems OK with the occasional crashing it suits my needs. I used Apple Mail when I used MobileMe's mail and got tired of it because I wanted to use Entourage and now I have a different address that is fit to use it. :)
