Is it worth getting the Service Pack 2 update?

Is it worth getting the Service Pack 2 upadate? There seems to be more
problems than it worth, I had alot of problems when I downloaded it and had
to remove it all. I am not to savy on computers to go about correcting all
these errors. What do you suggest.
