Does anyone know if the Ligatures problem was fixed in the new 2008 update?
I was told that formatting problems/irregularities we were having here with sending Mac Office/Word 2008 text files to a PC with Office on it and all necessary updates were caused by a problem with "ligatures" due, as I understood it, to a change in Leopard that was not yet addressed in Office 2008.
Font spacings and other irregularities were messing up our previously idyllic work, making us have to check through all text with a fine-tooth comb to fix the mistakes.....very daunting with 30-some page documents.
Does anyone know if the problems with Office/Word on the PC correctly translating files made with Office/Word 2008 on the Mac has been corrected?
I would rather know before going through that whole time-consuming problem once more.
Thanks,
Mark
