Is MS Word free for MSDN Professional Subscribers to download?

Yep, that was my question.

I generally have a very limited use of MS Word and downloading the whole
mammoth Office software is a big drag on your system. I loath paying $500.00
bucks or so for something I use actually very indirectly.

Some of my Visual FoxPro 9 applications require MS office object to
function. I incorporated them while developing the app in XP. Now with a
switch to Vista I cannot even restart the app because it goes over all
objects and for the lack thereof quits.

What shall I do?

You can pick up a copy of Works Suite for less than $100 and that will get
you a copy of Word XP.
