Is Office 2000 compatable with Windows XP?

Hello,

My boss just bought a new laptop which came loaded with
Windows XP. He used Windows 2000 on his old laptop. I
have the installation CDs for Office 2000, which he'd used
on his old laptop. Can I install Office 2000 on the new
laptop or do I have to purchase Office XP or Office 2003?
