Is office 2000 compatible?

Hi,
I have a 1998 pc running windows 98/98SE with office 2000. I ran th
upgradability program from Microsoft for xp home. After adding all o
the new drivers to the software/hardware on my pc, I purchased window
xp home upgrade version and attempted to install it. I have bee
unable to install windows xp home onto this pc.
Here is my question: Is office 2000 compatible with windows xp home?
If it is, then I may have to consider the purchase of a newer compute
with xp home. I have a few other programs that refuse to run wit
windows 98/98SE, but I am most concerned with office 2000 and it
compatibility with xp home.
