Hey all
Our newest machine shipped with the office 2003 instead of XP. Since I haven't had much experiance at all with the newest version, I just wanted to see what everyone thought of the newer version versus the older XP and 2000. The more responses the better

Thanks

It depends on your environment, and whether your other employees will
develop 2003 envy. (g)

Of course I am biased, but the Outlook client alone is worth it. If you are
using Exchange 5.5, there is a patch you may need for Outlook to work
properly (don't have the KB article memorized yet) but the improvements are
wonderful, especially the Junk Senders rules.

As for the other applications, I only really use Word a lot, Excel a little.
My opinions on those programs are that there are incremental improvements
but Outlook is really the star of this suite.

In our business, this is the version of Office we have been waiting for
More ease of use, online assitance/training/search kb/newsgroups, all just a click away with the help/assistance pane open. This feature alone saves an enormous amount of time in training etc...
We plan to upgrade all our desktops/notebooks to Office 2003. Office 2000 and XP will eventually sooner than later come to end of support time frame
