Is "Photo Editor" incompatible with "SP2?"

Is "Photo Editor" incompatible with "SP2?" I previously ran "PE" on a non-SP2
machine with "XP Pro" with no trouble. Now on a new "XP Pro, SP2" computer it
tells me I am out of memory when I am "Auto balancing" photos sequentially. I
have 512 MB of RAM; no other programs were active at the time I was using
"PE." I hope there is a solution. Thanks in advance for your advice.

We just went through this on (ironically) 2 seperate computers. The KB
article solution did not help in our situation, but a reinstall of Office did.
