Simple question, that I can't find an answer to on the Microsoft site:
Is Project 2007 compatible with Office 2003?

Yes, mostly.
It does sometimes create an issue with Sharepoint 2003 sites (fixable) but
other than that it has no major issues.
I've used that configuration extensively.
