Is Republish necessary if it is a changed task.

If I make a change to a resource's actual hours, which also triggers the task
as an eligible change (the finish date changes).

Is it still necessary to perform a re-publish assignment to overwrite the
work entered by the resources? Or will the actuals get updated by performing
a Publish New and Changed assignments since it was flagged as a changed task.

If you manually enter actuals in the Microsoft Project plan, you must click
Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments and select the "Overwrite
actual work entered by resources" option to "push" those actuals to each
team member's timesheet in PWA. Hope this helps.
