Is there a default setting on the paper size for attachments?

For some reason all the Word attachments I receive are in letter size paper.
My Word settings are in A4.

This has only just started to happen this week and only to a couple of the
users in the office.

Is there any way to set up a default so that all attachments print off in A4?
