Is there a flag for calendaring?

In our office, we have a need to be able to flag
appointments when they are finished.

I've been through the assistance available, and the only
reference to flags appears to be in email and contacts.
At any rate, the options that they provide cannot be
followed in the calendar.

We would be happy with most any bright symbol, like a
little icon (only not icon function, necessarily.)

We would also consider purchasing a nominal software add-
on with colorful symbols that could be presented on the
toolbar, or similar. It would have to be Microsoft, or
compatible.

I've been on the internet looking a bit, but am clearly
out of my depth.

This is something that my boss would very much like to
see as part of our protocol.

Anyone have any ideas? I'd appreciate it.

Outlook has no built-in feature for this. It assumes that if the appointment
is on the calendar, it actually happened. Furthermore, no interface is
provided for adding custom symbols to any Outlook view.
