Tier 3 Questions

Trying to find some guidance on how it likes letters input. I enter the
letter "l" as in lollypop into the input panel Character Pad and it sees
interprets it as an "L", "|", or "1" about 60% of the time. Is there a place
where I can read about what it is expecting to be input?

Similarly, would love to learn if there is a symbols for cut, copy and paste.

The handwriting recognition engine attempts to determine the correct letter
or symbol based on the context of the Ink strokes around it and what would
make a more complete, more likely to be correct word. It shouldn't be
translating into for example "wor1d".

There are no standard handwriting or graffiti symbols like on a Palm Pilot.
Try to be as precise in your handwriting, use the vertical lines in the TIP
to ensure that the relative size difference between letters is correct (i.e.
that your "j" goes below the line, and that your lowercase letters are half
as high as your uppercase letters; think back to kindergarten!)

I'd also suggest going through the built-in tutorials several times and
downloading some of the Power Toys found here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/tabletpc.mspx

These applications will help you practice writing.

Erik, you are describing the "writing pad" and my handwriting works extremely
well in that mode. I have fairly good handwriting and it I have about a 98%
success rate there, which I am satisfied with.

I am talking about the "character pad" where it interprets letter for
letter. This is much better place when you are not writing words and
sentences but URLs or Passwords. It is here that it seems to rarely
understand my "l" letters. I am being very careful and still, it
mis-translates.
