Is there a limit for this formula ?

I want to create an Average function, which averages data
from multiple sheets. Is there a limit on how many ranges
I can have in 1 formula ? Example -

=Average(Sheet1 range)+(sheet2 range)+(sheet3 range) and
so on .... seems to bomb once I include Sheet 11. Getting
#Value errors.

Using Excel 2000, Sp1
