Is there a Project Viewer?

I work within a project team that includes people that don't work with MS
Project. To avoid having to apply for more licenses is there some other way
of viewing and if possible updating a project schedule without having the
full program (i.e. a project viewer?).

The only other options I can think of are
1) PDF the schedule
2) dump into Excel

As updating is going to be a regular requirement, what's the simplest
solution?
