Is there a replacement for Binder in Office XP

M

Michael

I am trying to find a way to keep multiple types of files together in an
easily accessible format. From what I remember about Binder that would have
been a good solution, but it is not supported in XP. I could always write a
local web page I guess, but that seems a little more effort than should be
necessary.

Any thoughts?

You may install the "Binder" from your previous version of Office and
use that if you wish.

Hi Michael,

If you had it in 2000 and upgraded to XP, you will have the Binder program.
If you had an earlier version or just did a clean install you won't.
If you have the windows 2000 disks you can install the program from there to
XP. It will work just fine. Here is a link that gives detailed instructions
on how to do it. I have followed these and it works great. The batch file
defaults to the winnt directory, so make sure yours is called "winnt" and not
"windows". (You might need to edit the batch file.) You need to sign up to
get it, but it is free and it works.

I need to clarify my first note... the binder program can be installed from
your disks by using the add programs, but the imaging part will not be
installed. The procedure below will give you the imaging ability.

Sorry for any confusion, I haven't had my coffee yet.
