Is there a strong case for upgrading from Office 2000 to 2003?

As the new software is not cheap I was wondering if I am missing much in not
upgrading? My main usage would be limited to Word, Excel and possibly

Office 2000 is out of official support and in extended support mode, meaning
that only critical security problems will be fixed. You may want to
purchase Office 2003 rather than wait for Office 2007 (early 2007 retail
release planned) if you like the older interface and do not want to make a
huge jump.

See http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/default.mspx for an overview of
the major changes to Office in the next version.
