I am using Outlook 2002 on a single Dell machine with 512
MB memory & "GenuineIntel ~2525 Mhz" processor, Win XP. I
use Email, Contacts, Tasks, Calender, & Journal every
day. I have 950 contact records. I have been using this
system for about 5 months. I have about 950 contact
records. I synch w/ a HP iPAQ
In the last 2 weeks, Outlook seems to have slowed down
significantly. It often takes 6 seconds to open a contact
record after doing a Find. These changes make me question
my choice of Outlook.
Over the next year my count of contact records could
increase to 3000.
Is there a limit to what Outlook was designed to handle?
Should I consider a different program for my contact
management?
Are there some Outlook settings that might help it work
more efficiently?
If I should use a different program, what do you
recommend? I do not need a hugely featured program. I am
a single operator.
