Is there a way to assign a % unit at the project level?

Any way to assign a % FTE (unit) at the project level without having
to enter it for each and every assignment?

This is assuming we don't want to setup less than 100% maximum
capacity in the enterprise resource pool.

Andy,

Units can only be set on either the resource or the assignment.

You could always use calendars at the project level to constrain hours of
work.

No, this is not possible, but here's a trick you can use instead:

1. Open the project in question and apply the Resource Sheet view.
2. Set the Max. Units value for the resources to the desired % FTE for the
project.
3. Navigate to the Gantt Chart view.
4. Click the Assign Resources button to display the Assign Resources
dialog.
5. Select the tasks to which you want to assign a particular resource.
6. Select the resource in the Assign Resources dialog and then click the
Assign button (do not select or enter a Units value).

The software will automatically assign the resource to the selected tasks at
the Units value you entered in the Max. Units field. Please note, however,
that the Max. Units values you enter in the Resource Sheet view are only
temporary, and will disappear the next time you open the project. However,
the Units values specified on each task assignment will not be changed.
